I am open minded, imaginative and, most importantly, fair. I take pride in being supportive and encouraging of others, and I am at my best when meeting new people, exploring new ideas, or doing something for the first time.
My passion has always been food and drink, whether through my work, at home, or while travelling. Over the years, that passion has taken me across the world, from cycling the Danube and walking the Inca Trail in Peru, to elephant safaris in Sri Lanka, exploring the coastline of south western Australia, and experiencing the Ice Hotel in Arctic Sweden.
I strongly believe that businesses have a responsibility to be inclusive and tolerant, both internally and in how they engage with the wider world. Wherever possible, they should also operate in a way that is sustainable and conscious of their environmental impact.
Alongside my consultancy work within the tourism and hospitality sector, particularly across the Lake District and Cumbria, I work with a wide range of businesses to support not only financial sustainability, but also clarity of purpose and long term ambition.
I also hold a number of voluntary roles. I am currently a Director of Cumbria Tourism, Vice Chair of the Millom Town Deal Board, and a Trustee of Duddon Community Support.
